The Dallas Cowboys acquired running back Christine Michael in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Seahawks will receive a conditional draft pick in the trade, according to Schefter, although NFL Network's Albert Breer says it will be a seventh-round pick for Seattle.
Seahawks trade RB Christine Michael to Cowboys, per report
The Cowboys wanted more running back depth and found that in a trade with the Seahawks for third-year back Christine Michael.

Michael, 24, was a second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, but has just 52 carries for 254 yards in two seasons with the Seahawks, while Marshawn Lynch took the brunt of the team's carries and Robert Turbin served as the primary second option. On Friday, the Seahawks added former Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson before sending Turbin to the injured reserve on Saturday.
The Cowboys have been looking for more options at running back since losing 2014 NFL rushing leader DeMarco Murray in free agency to the Philadelphia Eagles. The team signed former Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden to a two-year deal in free agency and he was expected to split carries with third-year running back Joseph Randle.
Dallas was previously rumored to be in contact with the Denver Broncos regarding a trade for Montee Ball, another second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Michael finished the preseason in Seattle with 32 carries for 118 yards, while the combination of McFadden and Randle finished with 86 yards on 20 carries for the Cowboys.
