Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams met with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte on Monday, and was ruled out for Sunday's Divisional round matchup against the Denver Broncos. Williams missed last week's crazy Wild Card game against the Cincinnati Bengals with the same injury.
DeAngelo Williams ruled out for the Divisional round of the playoffs
After missing the Wild Card round, DeAngelo Williams is out against the Broncos.

Pittsburgh's starting back was sidelined in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns with a foot/ankle injury and forced to sit out the first round of the postseason. In his absence, backups Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman saw more carries, allowing the passing game to go undisturbed. However, Williams' effort was missed. The veteran amassed 907 rushing yards on 200 carries for 11 touchdowns in the regular season.
Head coach Mike Tomlin hedged his bets earlier this week when he spoke to the media, making it clear that while Williams was day-to-day, he would be given the opportunity to play should his rehab allow him to do so.
“DeAngelo Williams is still on the outside looking in. I will leave the door ajar for him. He is a savvy veteran player. If he perks up at the end of the week I have no issue in terms of giving him an opportunity to assist us in our efforts. As we sit here today, it’s just that. I am leaving the door ajar for him. We will see where the week of rehabilitation and so forth takes us with him.”
The Steelers won their last meeting with the Broncos, but will need all the help they can get with the slew of injuries on offense.
