The Packers punted Saturday night in the playoffs against the Cardinals. You can tell they did this, because they had a huge sign that says PUNT to tell everybody that they’re punting:
The Packers have a big sign that says PUNT on it so they know it’s time to punt
“PUNT” -- sign
They’ve had it for a few weeks, actually:

— CJ Fogler (@cjzero) January 17, 2016 They're not the only team to have a big ol' PUNT sign. The Arizona Wildcats have a flag to let the punt team know to get on the field.
Football teams are big on silly, confusing signals and subterfuge to avoid opponents understanding exactly what they’re doing. But on punts, the most important thing is that the punt unit (comprised of offensive players, defensive players and special teams specialists) all realize they have to be on the field, and quickly. So it’s okay to have a big sign that says PUNT.
Besides, if the call is actually a fake punt, your enormous PUNT sign might actually help throw the other team off.
