Patrick Peterson’s 100-yard pick-six negated by TWO Cardinals penalties

Saturday’s game almost swung in a big way for the Cardinals.

Patrick Peterson nearly made an incredible play in the second quarter, picking off Aaron Rodgers and running 100 yards for what appeared to be a pick-six to give the Cardinals a two-score lead over the Green Bay Packers.

There were two issues, however. The Cardinals committed two penalties on the play. Peterson was flagged for taunting before getting to the end zone, but even before that the referees caught Frostee Rucker for hands to the face.

The taunting penalty would have been enforced on the kickoff, but it didn’t matter because Rucker’s penalty brought the play all the way back. The Packers kept possession of the ball and kicked a field goal two plays later to make the score 7-3. Despite the low score, it has been a wild game already in Arizona.
