Cardinals’ offensive struggles can be summed up by this leaping Panthers INT

Everything is going wrong for the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship.

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals are having an awful day against the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship. They had already fumbled the ball way three times to help give the Panthers a 24-7 lead.

Patrick Peterson tried to give his team some momentum going to halftime with a 72-yard punt return. Palmer ruined Peterson’s hard work with a bad interception snagged by Kurt Coleman in the end zone.

Palmer has been having an MVP-caliber season in a part because he has curbed a career tendency for bad turnovers. It’s all coming crashing down in the Cardinals’ biggest game of the year. The Cardinals were outgained 216-143 in the half, which wasn’t as lopsided as the score. There’s not question they’re going to have to be much sharper if they have any hope of coming back.
