Patrick Peterson tried to give his team some momentum going to halftime with a 72-yard punt return. Palmer ruined Peterson’s hard work with a bad interception snagged by Kurt Coleman in the end zone.
Palmer has been having an MVP-caliber season in a part because he has curbed a career tendency for bad turnovers. It’s all coming crashing down in the Cardinals’ biggest game of the year. The Cardinals were outgained 216-143 in the half, which wasn’t as lopsided as the score. There’s not question they’re going to have to be much sharper if they have any hope of coming back.
