Pro Bowl 2016 draft: Time, TV schedule, live stream and rules

It’s Pro Bowl draft time! Find out which replacement players Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice will select for their teams.

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Pro Bowl draft is entering its third year. Team Irvin and Team Rice are set to select the teams that will square off in Honolulu on Sunday. The draft takes place at 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN2.

Just like the past two years, there are no conference teams. Instead, the players will be put into a single pool with the Hall of Fame captains drafting them one-by-one, playground style. There will be a coin toss to determine which team gets the first pick.

This year the team captains are Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice, whose teams won the previous two years. They will be assisted by team captains Geno Atkins, Odell Beckham Jr., Aaron Donald and Devonta Freeman.

The Pro Bowl was hit particularly hard by absences this year, with the final roster looking extremely different from the one fans voted for in the regular season. A record 36 players have pulled out of the game, with 14 playing in the Super Bowl and another 22 not playing because of injuries or personal reasons. Russell Wilson is the only quarterback selected on the original team who's actually suiting up in Hawaii.
