Early in Thursday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens, it looked as though the Cleveland Browns might actually be able to pull off a win. Instead, Cleveland inexplicably decided to pull Cody Kessler in the third quarter, and his replacement, Josh McCown, threw two interceptions and lost a fumble. McCown’s mistakes put the Ravens in a position to win the game with a final score of 28-7.
Browns vs. Ravens 2016 final score: Cleveland is one step closer to the No. 1 draft pick after 28-7 loss
Early in the game, it looked as though the Browns might actually get a win, but that changed in the second half.

Earlier this week, head coach Hue Jackson said he wasn’t planning to “play musical chairs” with the quarterbacks and that Kessler was the starter, but Cleveland decided to pull Kessler in the third quarter. Kessler finished the game with 91 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions.
Kessler scored in the second quarter on a 25-yard pass to rookie tight end Seth DeValve. The touchdown was the last time the Browns would score on Thursday.
McCown entered the game, and his first pass fell incomplete. He threw an interception on his second pass.
McCown completed 6 of 13 passes for 59 yards and two interceptions. He also had two fumbles, one of which he recovered.
The Browns last faced the Ravens in Week 2, losing 25-20. In that game, Cleveland took a 20-3 lead into halftime and never scored again, giving up 22 unanswered points. Thursday was no different, with Cleveland taking a 7-6 lead into halftime and allowing the Ravens to put up 22 in the second half with no Browns scores to even things out.
Things are just going poorly for the Browns in second halves this season.
Still, there is some hope for the future.
This season, though, the Browns remain winless at 0-10, and they’re one step closer to locking up the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
