Eagles vs. Seahawks 2016 live stream: Game time, TV schedule, and how to watch online

The Eagles are fighting for their playoff lives, but they’ll face a tough task against the Seahawks on the road.

The Seattle Seahawks are riding a wave of momentum after a thrilling win over the New England Patriots, but their road to the playoffs doesn’t get any easier. In Week 11, they host a Philadelphia Eagles team that’s eager to improve its standing in the NFC postseason race.

Seattle moved to 6-2-1 with a brilliant performance on Sunday Night Football. Facing the Patriots for the first time since their famous encounter in Super Bowl 49, the Seahawks took a 19-14 halftime lead and hung in through the second half with multiple lead changes. With the Seahawks holding on to a 31-24 lead, the Patriots drove down the field and had many chances to tie up the game with less than a minute left. However, Seattle’s defense rose to the occasion, making a goal-line stand to preserve the victory.

Russell Wilson is getting closer to full health, which should scare the rest of the NFC. He had his best game of the season last Sunday night, throwing for 348 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions on 25-of-37 passing. In addition, C.J. Prosise gave the running game a spark it hasn’t had in several weeks, and Thomas Rawls is expected to return Sunday, prompting the Seahawks to release Christine Michael.

With the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams stumbling, the Seahawks are comfortably in first place in the NFC West. They’re still well behind the 8-1 Dallas Cowboys for the top spot in the conference, but after the Atlanta Falcons lost and fell to 6-4, Seattle is in a good position to secure a first-round bye in the playoffs.

The Seahawks won’t have an easy road there, especially when they go up against an Eagles team that’s capable of beating anyone. Philly is 5-4, which somehow puts the team in last place in a stacked NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Washington all hold leads over Philadelphia in the division standings, but the wild card picture is very much in play right now.

The Eagles took down the Atlanta Falcons with a smart game plan: control the ball and keep Matt Ryan and Julio Jones off the field. They executed it well, dominating time of possession and holding the Falcons to just 15 points in the win. Atlanta’s only touchdown came on a fluky 76-yard catch-and-run from Taylor Gabriel. Otherwise, Philly’s defense held up well.

Carson Wentz also has more in common with Wilson than people might think, given their similar rookie-year starts.

The Eagles seemingly found their blueprint to success — run the ball and rely on a tough defense to keep games close. They’ll put that plan to the test in a challenging road game against a Seahawks team finding its stride. This is easily the most fascinating matchup of the Week 11 late-afternoon slate.
