Bears vs. Giants 2016: Start time, TV schedule for Week 11 matchup

The Giants are competing in a tough NFC East this season. Can they keep up by beating the Bears on Sunday?

Given the relative weakness of the NFC East in recent seasons, nobody could blame the New York Giants for thinking a 6-3 record might be enough to be at the top of the division through 10 weeks of the season. Unfortunately for the Giants, Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott have led the Dallas Cowboys to the best record in the NFL, and the Giants find themselves two games back of Dallas.

Every game from here on out is huge. The Giants are still competing within the division, but the pool is much wider now as they also hope to make it into the playoffs as a wild card team. The Giants do have something going for them: the fact that they are the only team to beat the Cowboys this season, though it came all the way back in Week 1. Now they will play host to the Chicago Bears to try to extend their winning streak to five games.

Sunday’s game will take place at MetLife Stadium at 1 p.m. ET, with the television broadcast carried by FOX in the United States. There will also be a stream available online at Fox Sports GO, though it will require login credentials from a cable or satellite provider.

New York owns some quality wins this season, though the team still has a tough game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and rematches with the Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants will also play Washington for a second time, and that is one of the teams they have lost to this season.

It's been an ugly season for the Bears, and truthfully, the entire NFC North. But the Bears are in no real position to be competing within the division. They are just 2-7 on the year, including a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and a 26-point defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their last game.

They allowed the Buccaneers to put up 36 points while managing just 10 of their own. Jay Cutler threw for a touchdown, but also had a pair of interceptions and was sacked four times for a loss of 21 yards. He completed just 16 of 30 passes, and was generally as ineffective as he's been for most of the season.

This year, Cutler has completed just 59.8 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and four interceptions. He hasn’t been good, and despite reports that he has “lost the locker room,” Cutler insists that’s not the case.

On the other hand, Eli Manning has had his own struggles for the Giants. He's completed a higher percentage of passes, with 64.3 percent for 2,481 yards, but he's thrown 10 interceptions against 15 touchdowns.

Both Manning and Cutler have been productive throughout their careers, but they have also been prone to miscues. The Giants are favored -- and should be -- at home against the Bears, but it could come down to which quarterback limits his mistakes.
