Eagles vs. Seahawks live scores, highlights, and updates from Week 11 matchup

The Seahawks are on pace for a first-round bye in the playoffs, but they won’t have an easy home challenge against the Eagles this week.

Score updates

Final score: Seahawks 26, Eagles 15

Third quarter: Seahawks 23, Eagles 7

Halftime: Seahawks 16, Eagles 7

First quarter: Seahawks 6, Eagles 0

Highlights

Russell Wilson found Doug Baldwin -- no wait, Doug Baldwin found Russell Wilson for a touchdown.

We’re still not sure how Russell Wilson made this throw for a touchdown.

Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka joined a historical moment on Sunday. He was one of several kickers to miss an extra point kick, something that kickers did 11 times this week, a new record.

Injuries

Seahawks cornerback DeShawn Shead left with a hamstring injury and is questionable to return.

Eagles left tackle Jason Peters was taken to the locker room to get X-rays on his left forearm, but he later returned.

Seahawks running back C.J. Prosise left with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.

Eagles running backs Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles have both been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Before the game

One of the most interesting matchups of Week 11 takes place at CenturyLink Field, where the Seattle Seahawks (6-2-1) host the Philadelphia Eagles (5-4) in a battle of playoff hopefuls. Both teams are coming off strong wins and looking to boost their respective divisions heading into the season's stretch run. The game kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET and can be seen on CBS.

The Seahawks are fresh off a brilliant performance against the New England Patriots, escaping Gillette Stadium with a 31-24 win and handing the Patriots just their second loss of the year. The offense is finally getting close to healthy, with Russell Wilson having his best game of the year against New England and Thomas Rawls expected to return from a leg injury. Rookie C.J. Prosise got the start in place of Christine Michael (who was since released later in the week) and delivered a dynamic performance. He and Rawls should form a strong 1-2 punch in the backfield and give Seattle a spark in the running game it's been missing most of the year.

Although the Eagles are over .500, they have a lot of ground to make up in the NFC East, where every team owns a winning record and Philly somehow finds itself in last place. They only have themselves to blame, having stumbled to an 0-3 record within the division and squandering their 3-0 start to the year. But the team appears back on track after beating the Atlanta Falcons, 24-15.

Carson Wentz continues to have his rookie struggles, but Ryan Mathews gave the offense a huge jolt on Sunday, exploding for 109 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. He'll have a much tougher matchup against the Seahawks' defense, which is close to full strength after getting Kam Chancellor back from injury. This could be a tense, low-scoring affair with both teams boasting strong defenses, and the winner will have a strong foundation to build on for the rest of the year.
