What’s the worst pain you can imagine? Probably childbirth, right? Well, we imagine that probably feels something like this:
Morris Claiborne tore some bone off his pelvis
Poor Mo Claiborne.

HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THAT?! I’m wincing just thinking about it. Is it even possible?
Turns out, yes. Claiborne has been listed out for weeks because of his groin, which he injured in Week 8 against the Eagles. This week, after the Cowboys’ win over the Ravens, he explained to reporters his pelvis tore during an injury in this game.
Normally, a torn pelvis means the ligaments have torn. Sometimes, though, ligaments are too strong to tear, so instead, they move as a result of force trauma and pull the bone apart. This is known as an avulsion fracture, so although it isn’t technically a tear, the movement causing the injury is kind of a tearing motion.
This sounds like possibly the worst thing that can happen to a pelvis, and we hope the future MRI has positive results for Claiborne.
