After being kind of a mess off and on in recent years, the AFC West is again one of the stronger divisions in the league. They have two teams of seven wins and one team with eight wins. The Oakland Raiders lead with an 8-2 record while both the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos sit at 7-3.
Chiefs vs. Broncos 2016 picks and predictions: Experts favoring Denver for ‘Sunday Night Football’
The Chiefs and Broncos will face off in a pivotal AFC West matchup on Sunday.
The Broncos will play host to the Chiefs in a hugely important matchup on Sunday Night Football for the week. It will be the first of two meetings between the two teams. The Broncos have already lost to both the Raiders and San Diego Chargers this season. They won the second game against the Chargers, but they need divisional wins more than anything right now.
Denver is coming off a strong win over the New Orleans Saints where the defense, led by safety Darian Stewart, managed to force plenty of turnovers. The offense has struggled, but defensively the Broncos are looking great. Denver recently locked up Stewart on a four-year contract extension after he forced three turnovers against the Saints.
The Chiefs have been a very good all-around team this season, though. Whether or not they can beat the Broncos is the big question.
As far as experts are concerned, most are favoring the Broncos. Over at CBS Sports, seven of their eight experts think the Broncos will win it, leaving just one picking the Chiefs. It’s a similar situation at ESPN, where eight of their nine experts are also picking Denver, leaving just one picking Kansas City.
Here at SB Nation, it’s a very similar spread.

Just like the other two outlets, SB Nation has just one person picking the Chiefs. The other eight experts, plus the OddsShark computer, think the Broncos will come out with a win.
