The Buffalo Bills travel to CenturyLink Field to take on the Seattle Seahawks in a Monday Night Football showdown. As of late, both teams have been unable to secure victories.
Bills vs. Seahawks 2016, NFL picks and predictions: Almost everyone is taking Seattle
This is going to be a hard-hitting matchup between two physical football teams, but the home team is the heavy favorite.

In Week 7, the Seahawks failed to pick up a win against the Arizona Cardinals, but that game ended in a 6-6 tie. When Seattle traveled to The Big Easy last week to take on the New Orleans Saints, they lost 25-20 and dropped to 4-2-1.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been struggling over the past few weeks. Wilson hasn’t thrown for a touchdown since Seattle’s 27-17 victory over the New York Jets in Week 4. The Seahawks are also having problems with their rushing attack. They are not afraid to hand the ball off, but explosive runs have been absent in their offensive attack. Seattle’s rushing offense is 29th in the NFL.
If Seattle wants to earn a much-needed victory this week against the Bills, they must find success in the run game. Buffalo is 25th in the league against the run. Wilson will be more effective if Seattle can move the chains on the ground.
On the other hand, the Seahawks still have one of the best defenses in all of football. That unit will certainly keep them in games. On Monday night, that defense will go up against a Bills that has lost two straight division games, first against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7 and then to the New England Patriots in Week 8.
At 4-4, the Bills are a physical football team. On offense, they like to feed defenses a heavy diet of LeSean McCoy and have quarterback Tyrod Taylor make plays with his arm and legs. Buffalo’s rushing offense is ranked second in the league.
The Bills must effectively run the ball if they want to end up in the win column this week. However, it’s hard to gain traction on the ground against a stingy, physical Seahawks defense. McCoy is expected to play but hasn’t been 100 percent. He could have a tough time running the ball, but the Bills should not abandon it all together.
Taylor must continue to be the dual-threat quarterback that he is for the Bills to stand a chance. He needs to make great throws and avoid turnovers, but that’s easier said than done against the still lethal Legion of Boom.
This matchup between the Bills and Seahawks should be a hard-hitting game. The team who can run the ball and play solid defense will come away with a victory, and the experts almost unanimously agree on which team that will be.
Sportsbooks have the Seahawks favored by six points, as much as seven in a few places.
All of the experts at CBS Sports predict that Seattle will be victorious against the Buffalo. ESPN’s experts feel the same way.
Here at SB Nation, it’s a similar story, except Stephen White is going against the grain and picking the Bills in an upset.
