Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had a long meeting with team trainers on the bench after injuring his throwing hand in the first quarter of Sunday’s showdown with the Chicago Bears. He returned to the game without missing a snap — but not without a new accessory.
Matthew Stafford will have to wear glove for rest of season after injuring his finger
The MVP candidate injured his throwing hand against the Bears.

Stafford appeared to be injured after hitting Bears linebacker Leonard Floyd with his follow-through.
He had completed six of seven passes for 50 yards before suffering the injury. Stafford cycled through four different gloves before finding the one that worked — a mark CBS noted was a career high for the veteran quarterback.
Stafford suffered a dislocated thumb joint and torn ligaments in his middle finger and will have to wear a glove for the rest of the season, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The bad news for the Lions is that Stafford seemed to have trouble throwing after the injury. He completed 15 of 28 passes and threw two picks and no touchdowns. Luckily for the Lions, Stafford still had his fourth-quarter magic and led them to a comeback win when he ran in a 7-yard touchdown late in the game.
