Randall Cobb trashes “front-runner” Seahawks after ankle-twisting tackle

The Packers wideout didn’t mince words when talking about his NFC rivals.

Randall Cobb missed a big chunk of Sunday’s 38-10 win over the Seahawks after getting his ankle twisted by Seattle cornerback Jeremy Lane. Cobb limped off the field after a 4-yard catch early in the second quarter and wouldn’t return to the game until after halftime.

On Monday, he made his displeasure with the hit — and with the Seahawks — known.

Cobb had a quiet day against Seattle with only 33 receiving yards, but the rest of the Packers did not. Aaron Rodgers threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns and an embattled Green Bay secondary intercepted Russell Wilson five times in the team’s biggest win of the season.

The Packers and Seahawks have become NFC rivals in recent years as each franchise has risen to the conference’s upper tier. The two teams have engaged in some instant classics, including an 2015 NFC Championship that saw Seattle rally from a 16-0 halftime deficit to stun Green Bay and the 2012 season opener that gave the world the “Fail Mary.”

Cobb’s harsh words should only serve to add more fuel to the fire that burns between these two teams.
