The Minnesota Vikings were 5-0 and the NFL’s only remaining undefeated team. Now they’re 7-7, on the outside of the playoffs looking in, and not in control of their own destiny with two games remaining. The NFC North rival Green Bay Packers, at 8-6, started the season with a 4-6 record and little hope of the postseason, but a late push has them right in the thick of things.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are making a late push for the playoffs. Will they make it?
Both teams will try to further their case for the playoffs when they face each other on Saturday. The game will kick off at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast in the United States on FOX. A live stream will be available online via FOX Sports GO, though it will require login credentials from a cable or satellite provider.
The Packers were struggling big time at the start of the season, with quarterback Aaron Rodgers among those who looked out of sorts. Rodgers is one of the most consistent and effective quarterbacks in the league, so there seemed to be plenty of panic around the Packers organization.
But it’s not over until it’s over, and the Packers have a shot at both taking it to the Detroit Lions in the NFC North and a potential wild card berth, failing that.
Minnesota took the first meeting between the two teams, all the way back in Week 2. Sam Bradford threw a pair of touchdowns with no interceptions, though the Vikings had just 30 rushing yards on the day. It was a defensive struggle, but Minnesota wound up with a 17-14 victory and it played a large part in their early season success.
That game saw Rodgers completed just 20 of 36 passes for 213 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Rodgers was sacked five times in the game, and he only got 83 yards out of his running game, 29 of which were his own.
Bradford finding any success at all this season is surprising. That statement could even apply to the Vikings in general after the team lost Teddy Bridgewater for the season. Minnesota went out and gave up a first-round pick to acquire Bradford, and it initially looked like the right move. Bradford is still running an efficient passing game, but it definitely lacks pop.
The Packers are 4-0 since Rodgers claimed that his team could win out and still make the playoffs following a blowout loss to Washington. They still need a little help to win the division, but right now they have done all they could to recover from a bad situation and they would certainly be one of the most dangerous teams in the postseason.
After beating some good teams in the early parts of their season, the Vikings have lost two games to the rival Lions, a 26-20 game against Washington and a 17-15 game against the Cowboys. They were also clobbered by the Indianapolis Colts in their last outing.
