Andrew Luck has passed the league’s concussion protocol and will return to the Indianapolis Colts’ starting lineup for a Monday Night Football showdown against the New York Jets. The three-time Pro Bowler will only miss one game after suffering a head injury against Tennessee in Week 11.
Andrew Luck will return against the Jets after clearing the NFL concussion protocol
The Colts road to the postseason just got a little easier with their starting quarterback back in the fold.

Scott Tolzien started in Luck’s place for a Thanksgiving night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The longtime backup threw for 205 yards and a touchdown, but the Colts were held to only seven points in defeat.
Indianapolis fell to 5-6 but still has a horse in the race to the postseason thanks to a weak crop of AFC South teams. Houston leads the division with a 6-5 record, but has been outscored by a total of 42 points this season — a mark worse than the 3-7-1 Bengals. The 6-6 Titans are the only team in the South with a positive point differential, but they’ve gone 0-3 against the Texans and Colts this fall. The Colts are just a game away from catching Houston, but they also lost the first meeting they had with the Texans.
The South is a mess, but Luck’s return should put Indianapolis in strong shape to rally to a division title and a return to the playoffs. The first step will be handling the 3-8 Jets in a prime time showdown in New Jersey.
