Super Bowl schedule 2016: Dates and times for the full week of events

The week leading up to the Super Bowl is packed with events as the Super Bowl hype machine gets rolling.

We're one week away from the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos battling in Super Bowl 50. The big game will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., and features the top two seeds in the NFL for the third consecutive season.

Before we get to kickoff, there are a slew of events and activities surrounding the matchup. From local attractions to live entertainment to the Super Bowl halftime show, the hype machine for the Super Bowl is unrivaled by anything else in pro sports. Super Bowl week officially gets going on Monday evening with the Super Bowl Opening Night, which is the NFL's new media day.

Throughout the week, there will be free concerts from artists like Alicia Keys and Chris Isaak. The biggest attractions occur daily at the NFL Experience and the Super Bowl City. The NFL Experience is running until the day of the Super Bowl and includes football clinics for kids, autograph sessions with NFL players and football drills like a 40-yard dash and vertical jump. Free for anyone who wants to attend, Super Bowl City is a family-friendly festival that highlights both Super Bowl 50 and the unique character of the Bay Area.

Super Bowl City is centered in Justin Herman Plaza near the waterfront. The NFL Experience will be held at Moscone Center North and South in San Francisco. The hours of operation for both vary, so if you plan to attend, check out the full schedule for those events here.
