2016 NFL Combine results: Will Fuller impresses with fastest 40 time of wide receivers

Fuller is considered one of the top receivers in the draft and impressed with a blazing 4.32 time in the 40-yard dash on Saturday.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine continued on Saturday, and the main event outside of positional drills for the star quarterbacks was the 40-yard dash for the wide receivers. Each year, the big question is always whether a receiver, running back or defensive back will grab the fastest 40-yard dash time.

As far as running backs go, the fastest on Friday was Keith Marshall of Georgia, who managed it in 4.31 seconds. He was the only back who managed a time under 4.4 seconds, and was the only real competition for the wide receivers.

And now that the receivers have all wrapped up, Marshall is still on top with his time. Wide receiver Will Fuller of Notre Dame came close to matching him, posting a time of 4.32 seconds, and Kolby Listenbee of TCU wasn't far off either with a time of 4.35 seconds. Fuller's time is huge for him, as he was already considered one of the top receivers in this year's draft.

Michael Thomas of Ohio State, one of the top players, posted a time of 4.57, while Laquon Treadwell of Ole Miss, who makes up part of many consensus top-three lists when ranking wide receivers, did not participate in the 40-yard dash.

Below, we’ve got the full 40 times for the wide receivers from Saturday.
