NFL Combine 2016 results: Full times, measurements for tight ends

Nobody really stood out in a relatively weak tight end class at this year’s NFL Combine.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

This year's group of tight ends isn't lacking talent per se, but nobody truly stands above the rest of the pack when it really comes down to it. Hunter Henry of Arkansas is considered by many to be the best in the class, but unfortunately he did not take part in agility drills or the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine on Saturday.

Henry wouldn’t have been expected to dominate in any of this drills by any means, but it would have made things more interesting. It’s considered the worst position group in the draft, and looking at the results of the various drills, nobody really stood out.

Jerell Adams of South Carolina was essentially the most consistent performer of all. He set a 4.64-second time in the 40-yard dash, the only tight end to go under 4.7 seconds. He posted a solid 7.05-second 3-cone drill, a 4.31-second short shuttle and a 11.52-second 60-yard shuttle. Nick Vannett of Ohio State, one of the other top tight ends in the class, didn't stand out very much in any area himself, either. He was good though, and nobody was poor by any means.

Regardless, there is some talent here and we’ve got the full results of their drills from the combine.
