Super Bowl halftime show 2016 live stream: How to watch online
Coldplay is one of the most popular rock acts in the world despite never playing at the Super Bowl before. The band’s latest single, “Adventures of a Lifetime,” debuted in November and shortly found its place close to the top of the charts.
This will be Beyonce's and Bruno Mars' second Super Bowl appearances. Beyonce's 2013 performance was the second best Super Bowl halftime show ever according to -- well -- us here at SB Nation. Mars was the headliner in Super Bowl XLVIII one year later in 2014.
Last year’s halftime show featured Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz. It was perhaps most memorable for Perry’s bizarre on-stage antics, which included riding a mechanical bull before dancing with sharks and beach balls. A record-setting 118.5 million viewers tuned in to watch the 13-minute set.
The Super Bowl opened up with Lady Gaga singing the national anthem, continuing a torrid start to 2016 for the flamboyant pop star. Last month, she won a Golden Globe for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel and captured a nomination for best original song at the Oscars with “Til It Happens to You” from The Hunting Ground.
