Rishard Matthews signs with the Titans

Tennessee adds another new weapon to its offense alongside DeMarco Murray.

After four seasons with the Miami Dolphins, wide receiver Rishard Matthews has signed a three-year contract with the Tennessee Titans, according to ESPN's Paul Kuharsky.

Matthews is coming off of his most productive season as a pro, finishing 2015 with 662 yards and four touchdowns. He was sidelined for the last five games of the season with broken ribs, but was very productive over the 11 games he started. Over the course of his time in Miami, Matthews had 107 catches for 1,396 yards and eight touchdowns.

Despite starting 11 games, Matthews wasn't Ryan Tannehill's go-to target. Jarvis Landry led the team with 110 receptions for 1,157 yards and four touchdowns, and even running back Lamar Miller had nearly as many targets as Matthews last season, though he had just 397 receiving yards.

The Dolphins used their second-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft on Landry, and they traded their third-round pick to the New Orleans Saints to acquire Kenny Stills. Matthews made it clear in the weeks leading up to free agency that he intended to be a No. 2 wide receiver, and his performance in 2015 suggested that Matthews, who made $673,403 in the final year of his rookie contract with Miami, could easily get that kind of money.

New Titans general manager Jon Robinson has been busy so far, adding Matthews along with running back DeMarco Murray. It seems as if Tennessee's No. 1 priority this offseason was to provide Marcus Mariota with more weapons, and Robinson is doing exactly that.
