Kicker Josh Brown will remain with the New York Giants, the team announced today. Brown's strong and accurate leg was a valuable weapon last season for a Giants team that scored touchdowns on just 44.4 percent of its red zone drives, one of the worst rates in the league.
Kicker Josh Brown re-signs with Giants
Brown made 30 of 32 (93.8 percent) kicks last season, tied for the best field goal percentage in the league.

The two-year deal is worth up to $4.75 million, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Although he struggled on kickoffs -- Pro Football Focus gave him the third-worst kickoff grade last season -- Brown more than made up for that deficiency by converting a league-high 93.8 percent of his field goals and 44 of 45 extra points. That was good enough for him to earn his first Pro Bowl selection in 2015 and nice contract going forward. According to the Giants, Brown agreed to terms last week, but he needed to work out some logistics before making it official.
“This is right where I wanted to be, this is the team I wanted to continue to play for,” said Brown. “I love the organization, and would enjoy playing here for the duration until I’m done.”
Brown signed with New York in 2013 and has put together one of the best three-year stretches ever by a Giants placekicker. He has missed just seven kicks and is an impressive 8 of 9 on field goals of 50-plus yards in that span. Brown owns three of the top six seasons in franchise history in terms of field goal accuracy, including the best and second-best marks in 2015 and 2014, respectively.
