Danny Kelly, Stephen White and RVB are in the best shape of their lives and their putting on shorts and getting ready for minicamp. In addition to minicamp, this week we’re covering the Madden cover curse, lol Sam Bradford, Drew Brees’ future with the Saints (or lack thereof) and lots more!
The big waves of free agency have long since broken, the draft is over and everyone’s putting on their shorts for a little offseason work to stay in shape and learn the new playbook. The same goes for the Onside Kick Family Hour, the internet’s only NFL podcast*.
We fired up the microphones and ran through some outstanding 7-on-7 drills last week with the estimable Stephen White and Danny Kelly. The first play we ran was a look at real value of those offseason workouts. It’s there, but you have to cut through the cliches about it.
From there, we talked about the Madden curse -- is it even a thing anymore?
Laughing at Sam Bradford and the terribly dumb saga with him and the Eagles has been a regular feature of the NFL offseason, and we didn’t skip the latest developments in that whole thing. Speaking of QBs, we also talked about the future of Drew Brees and the Saints.
