Super Bowl is headed back to Los Angeles in 2021
The new home of the Los Angeles Rams will serve as the site for Super Bowl LV.

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that LA won the bid to host Super Bowl LV. Atlanta was also selected as the host city for Super Bowl LIII in February 2019. The following year, Super Bowl LIV will be held in Miami.
NFL owners voted on bids from Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Tampa Bay and New Orleans to serve as host cities at Tuesday’s league meeting. Tampa Bay was not selected as a site, and New Orleans was only under consideration for the 2019 Super Bowl bid, which went to Atlanta.
The Rams were initially considered the favorites to win the 2020 bid, but removed themselves from consideration for Super Bowl LIV. That made it logical that Los Angeles would win the bid to host the big game in 2021.
The city of Los Angeles wanted an NFL team, and they’re getting one in the Rams. They’re also getting a Super Bowl, on the back of the massive $2.6 billion investment in the Inglewood Stadium by team owner Stan Kroenke. The stadium is scheduled to open in 2019. It will be the first time the LA area has hosted the Super Bowl since 1993, when it was played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
