Never say Jacksonville Jaguars rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey lacks confidence.

The No. 5 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft made his rookie debut on Sunday against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, and even though it was a 27-23 loss for the Jaguars, Ramsey had things to say about Green Bay’s two-time MVP quarterback.

“He didn’t throw my way. Write that,” Ramsey told Eric Adelson of Yahoo! Sports after the game.

Ramsey also went to Twitter to assert that he shut down Rodgers:

The rookie cornerback did end up on the highlight reel for Rodgers on Sunday, although it wasn’t for giving up a touchdown in coverage. On a blitz, Ramsey managed to get a handful of the quarterback’s jersey and was yanking him down, but Rodgers was still able to throw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams.

Ramsey also spent the days leading up to the game making sure everybody knew he wasn’t intimidated at all by Rodgers.

“I’m not scared,” Ramsey told ESPN. “Throw my way if you want to.”

Rodgers finished the game 20 of 34 passing with 199 yards and two touchdowns. Up next for the Jaguars is a road trip to play the San Diego Chargers and it’s probably safe to say that Philip Rivers isn’t going to scare the rookie, either.
