Jets vs. Bills 2016 picks and predictions: Experts can’t agree on ‘Thursday Night Football’ game

It will be a duel between Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Fitzpatrick on “Thursday Night Football.”

Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Fitzpatrick both made up a large portion of their teams' offseason focus, but both quarterbacks failed to lead them to a win in the first week of the regular season. Taylor and the Buffalo Bills couldn't get anything done against the defense of the Baltimore Ravens. Fitzpatrick and the New York Jets were much closer, but they failed to top the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Jets were leading the Bengals in the final minutes of their opener until Mike Nugent drilled a 47-yard field goal with 54 seconds left to give Cincinnati the one-point win. The Bills has just one score on the day, a 1-yard rushing touchdown from LeSean McCoy, and lost 13-7.

Taylor was largely ineffective for the Bills, throwing for just 111 yards with no touchdowns, though he did not turn the ball over. Fitzpatrick fared better, with 189 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but he also had an interception.

These two AFC East rivals get the primetime spotlight when they face off on Thursday Night Football. But who is going to come out on top?

As far as experts are concerned, there’s not a huge consensus. Over at CBS Sports, the eight writers were divided straight down the middle, 4-4. Six of the seven experts from ESPN who have picked so far think the Jets will win, leaving just one picking the Bills.

Here at SB Nation, it’s mostly a split:
