Steelers vs. Eagles 2016 picks and predictions: Experts almost unanimous in picking Pittsburgh

Experts are overwhelmingly in favor of the Steelers in their Week 3 match against the Eagles.

Both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles have started their seasons with a 2-0 record, though they are very different teams. Pittsburgh is a consistent franchise with an established quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger, and they are playing in one of the toughest divisions in the league.

Philadelphia is starting rookie Carson Wentz at quarterback and is playing in the NFC East, a division constantly begging for someone to step up and claim it.

The Eagles are on the right track to doing just that. With the Dallas Cowboys having injuries at key positions, the New York Giants looking beatable in two narrow wins, and Washington struggling with Kirk Cousins under center, the Eagles are in good shape.

But the Steelers are a tough test for any team. When healthy, Roethlisberger is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and the Steelers won multiple games without him last season. This looked like it would be a rebuilding season for the Eagles, and it could still be that if the team falls apart from here.

As far as experts are concerned, the Eagles will be hard-pressed to earn the win. Over at CBS Sports, all eight of the experts picking are selecting the Steelers to win. The spread over at ESPN is the same, with all nine of their experts picking Pittsburgh.

Here at SB Nation, there is some deviation:

Of the nine experts picking, two of them, plus the OddsShark computer, think the Eagles will win it, leaving the other seven picking the Steelers. The game will be broadcast on CBS, with a live steam online available via a Sunday Ticket subscription. Kickoff is set for just after 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
