Jets vs. Chiefs 2016 picks and predictions: Experts mainly favor Kansas City

Who will recover from his slump first: Alex Smith or Darrelle Revis?

Both the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs figure to be competing for a playoff spot at the end of the regular season, but both also have some very sloppy and inconsistent play to clean up before they can make that goal a reality.

Alex Smith, quarterback for the Chiefs, has been the most inconsistent player in this entire mix. He led the Chiefs back from a 21-point deficit to beat the San Diego Chargers in overtime in Week 1, but he had two turnovers and didn't lead the Chiefs on a touchdown-scoring drive against the Houston Texans in Week 2.

Darrelle Revis is the player who's been the most inconsistent for the Jets. Considered one of the league's top corners, Revis has struggled this season. The 31-year-old has been burned several times in just two games. We'll see if he can get back into form against Smith and the Chiefs.

Over at CBS Sports, the eight experts are split, with four each picking the Chiefs and Jets. It’s less split at ESPN, where only two of their nine experts think the Jets can win it.

Here at SB Nation, there are some who like the Jets as well:

Sunday’s game will kick off just after 4:25 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on television via CBS. A live stream will be available online via a Sunday Ticket subscription.
