The Carolina Panthers aren't running away with the NFC South like many expected, but the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints haven't shown much to threaten the defending NFC champions, who many expect will eventually get back on track and get back to winning.
Falcons vs. Saints 2016, NFL picks and predictions: Experts mainly favor New Orleans
Experts think the Saints will beat the Falcons and pick up their first win of the season on Monday.
But in the meantime, the Saints have a chance to pick up their first win, while the Falcons can actually take a lead over the Panthers in the division with a win. The two teams will face each other on Monday Night Football for Week 3, and it should be interesting at the very least.
New Orleans hasn't looked terrible this season, but they are winless, losing to the Oakland Raiders and New York Giants by a combined total of just four points. They're facing their first division opponent of the season, and it's safe to say they desperately need a win on Monday.
As far as experts are concerned, things are mostly leaning in favor of the Saints. Over at CBS Sports, five of the eight experts picking think the Saints will win. At ESPN, it’s a similar spread, with seven of their nine experts going with New Orleans to win on Monday evening.
Here at SB Nation, it’s similar, with a twist.
| Game | RVB | Stephen White | Thomas George | Jeanna Thomas | Adam Stites | Tyler Tynes | Louis Bien | Joel Thorman | Fooch | OddsShark computer |
| ATL vs NO | NO | NO | NO | NO | NO | NO | NO | NO | NO | NO |
The twist is that not a single expert here at SB Nation thinks the Falcons will beat the Saints on Monday. The game is set for 8:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN. A live stream will also be available via WatchESPN, though it will require login credentials from a cable or satellite provider.
