Aaron Rodgers is the master of the free play. When the Cowboys jumped offside during the Packers’ first drive of their playoff matchup, the two-time MVP jumped on the opportunity.
Aaron Rodgers’ 1st touchdown against the Cowboys came on a free play
Dallas jumped offside, then paid dearly for it.
Rodgers delivered a 34-yard touchdown strike to tight end Richard Rodgers to put Green Bay up 7-3 early in the first quarter of Sunday’s game. He finished the team’s opening drive with aplomb, completing all three of his pass attempts for 55 yards.
That wasn’t even the first free play Rodgers gleaned Sunday. His quick snap turned a third-and-5 situation into a first down when the Cowboys were caught with 12 men on the field earlier in the drive. His ability to recognize these lapses is unparalleled across the league.
Later in the game, cameras caught Rodgers at work, counting the number of defenders on the field.
