For the third time in the city’s history, Houston, Texas, will host the Super Bowl. This year, the big game will be on Sunday, Feb. 5.
Super Bowl 2017: Time, location, and date for the 51st NFL championship game
With the game on Fox this year, does that mean another classic is on the way?

Fox will put the broadcast of the NFL championship on its streaming site, FoxSportsGo.com, without requiring a log in.
It’s a two-for-one of good news for football fans everywhere. Not only is the game easier to watch than ever, but recent history says when it’s on Fox, we’re in for a barnburner.
Three of the last four games on the network have been some of the best in the modern NFL. Only Super Bowl XLVIII proved to be a dud, with the Seahawks dismantling the Broncos for a 43-8 victory three years ago. The other three games on Fox in recent years have been nothing short of classics.
Super Bowl XLV featured a frantic second half that saw Aaron Rodgers and the Packers emerge with a 31-25 victory over the Steelers. Super Bowl XLII had one of the most dramatic endings ever thanks to David Tyree’s helmet catch leading to the Patriots’ only loss of the season, a 17-14 defeat to the Giants. In Super Bowl XXXIX, Tom Brady and the Patriots solidified their dynasty with a 24-21 victory over the Eagles.
We’ll have to wait until Sunday night to know whether the Patriots or Steelers will face the Falcons or Packers for the Lombardi Trophy. But the recent past suggests Super Bowl LI could be another classic on Fox.
