Falcons and Patriots fans hoping to get a good seat at NRG Stadium for the Super Bowl better get ready to take out a loan or two.
Super Bowl 2017 tickets: Prices soar above $3,500 for upper-level seats
Tickets selling for thousands of dollars, over-the-top VIP packages, and a resale market that’s beginning to bubble — it must be the Super Bowl.

Following the Patriots’ 36-17 victory over the Steelers, the cheapest ticket on Stubhub.com was selling for $3,675.
Some fans were ready to open up their pocketbooks, though:
Ticket prices for the NFL’s title game were already soaring into the thousands once the AFC Championship went final, with the cheapest package on the league’s website reselling for $3,676 — minimum of two tickets.
Of course there are other ways to experience the game in Houston than just merely buying seats. The NFL’s MVP package allows fans to choose the best seats within the club section, plus offers a pregame VIP party with “award-winning chefs and the world’s biggest musical acts,” postgame field access, appearances by former NFL players, and more, for a minimum of $10,999.
The Super Bowl kicks off on Feb. 5 at 6:30 ET on Fox, for those not able or not ready to shell out a few thousand dollars to attend. Tom Brady and the Patriots are looking for their fifth ring, while the Falcons are making their return to the title game after 18 years and attempting to win their first Super Bowl in team history.
There’s enough on the line here for fans on both sides to talk themselves into buying tickets.
For what it’s worth, the worst seats in the house during the Super Bowl are selling for more than the best seats in the house to see Hamilton in New York on the same night.
