New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has to try to dodge Atlanta Falcons linebacker Vic Beasley and their other pass rushers in Super Bowl LI. Ever since Brady served his four-game suspension for his role in DeflateGate, reporters have been asking him questions about Roger Goodell and the controversy itself, which he has been dodging, too.
Tom Brady is ‘motivated by my teammates,’ not DeflateGate revenge
Tom Terrific keeps dodging these silly questions from reporters.

During the 39-year-old’s press conference on Friday, a reporter asked Brady one of the more dramatic questions you’ll ever hear, from NESN:
“Tom, we’ve all heard what you’ve said over the last year-plus at the podium, on the radio. I respect what you’ve said. But this commissioner and this league via a four-game suspension tried to disgrace you. People called you a cheater. People on TV cried. People lied. People threw trash at your name. Are you telling us that none of that factors into any of the motivation that you have to go out there and to win this game so you can grab the trophy, hold it high, stand at the top of the mountain and howl at the moon?”
Brady responded with, “I mean, I’m motivated by my teammates. I said that after the (AFC Championship) Game. I think that they’re all the motivation that I need.” He added that the combination of the process and his teammates was enough motivation.
Another reporter followed by asking Brady, “Do you kind of relish that knowing that you can take all those questions on, you can deflect away from the pressure of your teammates, because you’ve been dealing with questions like that in various ways over the last 15, 16 years?”
The 12-time Pro Bowler stayed on message, giving a very plain response that you might come to expect from a vet.
“I’m just very blessed,” Brady said. “I get to do something I love to do — show up to work every day, play football in the National Football League, play for the Patriots.”
Brady added that he feels very blessed and tries to influence people in a positive way. He hopes that wears off on his fellow teammates. The veteran signal caller realizes that football is a tough game and there are a lot of challenges. He reiterated that focusing on the positives has worked for him.
He may not be the most versatile on the field, but there’s no question Brady knows how to evade pressing questions.
