Get your laser pointers ready, you’ll need them to make Saturday’s NFL Wild Card Game between the Raiders and Texans slightly more tolerable.
We still aren’t sure which quarterbacks will start in the Raiders vs. Texans Wild Card Game, but we know they won’t be good
It’s looking more and more like we’ll get Brock Osweiler against Connor Cook in this game, so that should be fun!

It looks like Brock Osweiler will be Houston’s starting quarterback, but that’s not guaranteed. Tom Savage suffered a concussion on Sunday, and head coach Bill O’Brien didn’t sound assured about his availability this week.
Osweiler was telling reporters Monday that he feels good about running the no-huddle offense. He’s completed just 50 percent of his passes in the no-huddle, has a 4.85 yards per attempt, and no touchdowns.
The good news for the Texans is that they finished the season with the NFL’s No. 1 defense. And they did it without J.J. Watt.
Already without Derek Carr, the Raiders might be forced to turn to their third-stringer, Connor Cook. All Jack Del Rio said about it was “we’ll see how the week goes.” A late report Tuesday morning says that it’ll probably be Cook who gets the start.
McGloin has a shoulder injury he suffered in Week 17. Cook, a rookie fourth-rounder, took over for him in the second quarter and did alright. He completed 14 of 21 pass attempts for 150 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He might even be better option than McGloin, based on last week’s results.
TREND SPOTTING
For those of you keeping track at home, this is the third year in a row that ESPN/ABC’s lone NFL playoff game has featured the bottom of the barrel quarterback matchup.
Last year, they had the Texans vs. Chiefs game, which featured Brian Hoyer starting for Houston. He had four picks and lost a fumble. The Texans lost 31-0.
The year before that, ESPN had Arizona at Carolina, a game featuring Cardinals third-stringer Ryan Lindley. Arizona lost, 27-16, a score that makes it look even closer than it was.
