Steelers CB Ross Cockrell prevented 2-point conversion by dragging WR out of bounds

Cockrell’s play kept Miami from making this a two-possession game.

The Miami Dolphins already had a tough road to a comeback victory after falling behind the Pittsburgh Steelers, 30-6. It got a bit worse thanks to Pittsburgh defensive back Ross Cockrell’s heads-up play in the end zone.

Cockrell yanked DeVante Parker out of midair and deposited him onto the sideline to erase the Dolphins’ two-point conversion try. The play prevented Miami from pulling within 16 points and making this a two-possession game late in the fourth quarter.

Cockrell’s heady play kept the game at 30-12 and shut the door a little bit tighter on the Dolphins’ postseason hopes.
