Washington is reeling after yet another disappointment on Monday Night Football. Dallas vs. Washington 2017 live stream: Start time, TV schedule, and how to watch online
The Cowboys still need a quality win for 2017. They can get one in Washington.

The Cowboys rebounded from a shaky start to dismantle a tougher-than-they-look 49ers team last week and suddenly look like the contenders they were meant to be. With both Dallas and Washington knotted at 3-3, the winner of Sunday’s game will take control of second place in the NFC East and begin the chase toward the 6-1 Eagles. The loser may have to come to grips with a season that ends in Week 17.

Cowboys at Washington news:
- The Cowboys had to use their safety at kicker last week, and it turned out surprisingly well:
This is a very College Football Thing that happened on NFL Sunday. Dan Bailey, one of the best kickers in the NFL, was out for the Cowboys. That led them to have to use safety Jeff Heath to play kicker; he had the most experience on the team at doing so.
His first kick was a beautifully loud CLANG that banked through the uprights.
- Week 7’s loss dropped Cousins to 0-6 all time on Monday Night Football:
No, the Washington quarterback didn’t play poorly, but man he just can’t get a win on a Monday. He’s now 0-6 as a starter on Monday Night Football after losing to the Eagles. No active quarterback has a longer losing streak on that day of the week.
- After starting the season on an uncharacteristic low note, the Cowboys’ offensive line is beginning to jell:
Things have improved dramatically over the last three games. During that span, the Cowboys are averaging 5.9 yards per carry. With three-straight 30+ point performances by the offense, clearly things are humming again. Jonathan Cooper looks to be the answer at left guard as he played his best game of his career in Dallas. He did a great job executing blocks in the second level and was running downfield making a block on that huge screen play that sprung Ezekiel Elliott for a 72-yard touchdown.
- One big problem Washington will have to deal with; Elliott’s suspension won’t be reinstated before Sunday’s game:
The saga of Elliott, and the many law firms of Jerry Jones will continue for another week. This means Elliot will be on the field for the Cowboys when they visit Washington next Sunday afternoon. Elliott had his best game of the season yesterday against the 49ers, rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns and getting another TD on a 72-yard reception.
Can the Cowboys record their first quality(ish) win of the season?
Dallas’ three wins this season aren’t especially inspiring. The club’s best victory was against a Cardinals team with no semblance of a running game — its other wins came against two teams with one victory between them. Knocking off Washington on the road would go a long way toward proving 2016 was no fluke.
