Jim Matthews-USA TODAY Sports

The last time the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers played was the divisional round of the 2016 playoffs. That game saw the Packers come out on top, 34-31, and the Cowboys go into their Week 5 matchup seeking revenge. The game will begin at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX (live streaming via Fox Sports GO).

Green Bay had a last-second completion followed by a field goal in the fourth to give them the win over the Cowboys in that playoff game. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had 355 yards and two touchdowns through the air, along with one interception. Dak Prescott had 302 yards, three touchdowns and an interception for the Cowboys.

Notably, running back Ezekiel Elliott had 125 yards on the ground for the Cowboys. They need him to be good in Sunday’s game, too. Through four games, Elliott has 277 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground. Prescott has completed 60.8 percent of his passes for 941 yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions.

Rodgers has completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 1,146 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions in four games this season. They’ve had a lot of trouble getting the running game going, with Ty Montgomery leading the team with 46 carries for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Green Bay has won its past two games, dominating the Chicago Bears in their last outing and beating the Cincinnati Bengals, 27-24 prior to that. Their lone loss on the year came to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2.

Dallas is 2-2, having lost to the surprisingly decent Los Angeles Rams in their last outing. That was a close game, but the Denver Broncos completely dominated them in Week 2. Their wins are over the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals.

Below is all you need to know to watch the action, news, predictions, odds and more.

  • Odds: The Cowboys opened as two-point favorites over Green Bay

Packers vs. Cowboys news:

Of those players, however, two stand out among all others as the best newcomers to the Packers’ roster so far in this early season. Those two are the Packers’ top two draft picks, cornerback Kevin King and safety/nitro linebacker Josh Jones.

However, while Jones has been a playmaker in the middle of the defense, playing primarily inside linebacker over the past two games, King’s early emergence as a boundary corner has been critical to the Packers’ success in defending the pass.

Packers vs. Cowboys prediction:

Of the eight experts picking with SB Nation, they’re split on Sunday’s matchup. Four are picking the Packers and four are picking the Cowboys. The Odds Shark computer is joining the latter four in picking Dallas to win, however.
