Odell Beckham Jr. caught a 48-yard touchdown pass, then performed CPR on the ball

Beckham found the end zone, then played doctor.

Odell Beckham Jr. has been the only consistent scoring presence in the Giants’ offense. And also the team’s best end-zone doctor.

Beckham gave New York a fourth-quarter lead over the Chargers with a 48-yard touchdown catch, then dropped to the turf to perform CPR on the lifeless pigskin in his hands as teammate Evan Engram looked on. The procedure, unfortunately, was unsuccessful, and Beckham spiked the ball into the turf seconds later.

Just like a real doctor.

What this means for the Giants: Someone has to win this showdown between 0-4 Los Angeles and 0-4 New York. Beckham is doing his best to make sure it’s the Giants. New York had a 22-17 lead with 13:30 to play after his big play.

What this means for Odell Beckham: Beckham is having another solid day despite being his team’s only real scoring threat. His touchdown catch was his fifth reception of the day. He’s got 97 yards through the air so far and is on the brink of his first 100-yard game of the season.
