The Dallas Cowboys are well behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East, but they have two games against their rivals to try and gain some ground. The first one between the two begins under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football for Week 11. They play at 8:30 p.m. on NBC (live streaming available via NBC Sports).
Eagles vs. Cowboys 2017: Start time, TV schedule for ‘Sunday Night Football’
The Cowboys and Eagles will renew NFC East hostilities on “Sunday Night Football” for Week 11.

Dallas will have its hands full trying to win without a long list of big-name players. Running back Ezekiel Elliott has given up his fight against the NFL and is serving his six-game suspension for a domestic incident. That means Alfred Morris will be the primary ball-carrier on Sunday.
They will also be without linebacker Sean Lee, safety Jeff Heath and kicker Dan Bailey, all of whom are starters. Lee’s extensive injury history is no secret so the Cowboys are used to having to play without him. Being without Heath and Bailey definitely hurts, and Jason Garrett likely has his back against the wall.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia is remarkably healthy, with only Alshon Jeffery on the injury report as questionable. They enter Sunday’s game with an 8-1 record and a death grip on the NFC East division. Dallas is 5-4, not quite out of it, and a win over the Eagles would be huge.
The Cowboys had a three-game winning streak snapped in their last game, a 27-7 loss at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons. They play the Eagles on Sunday, and will play them again in Week 17 to close out the season. If things go better for the Cowboys and worse for the Eagles, that game could wind up being hugely important.
Philadelphia hasn’t lost since Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and recently hung 51 points on the Denver Broncos in their last outing. They have all the momentum, with some easier games on the schedule coming up in the Chicago Bears and New York Giants.
Below is all you need to know to watch Sunday’s game, as well as news, odds, prediction, and more.
How to Watch Philadelphia vs. Dallas
- Time: 8:30 p.m. ET
- Location: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas
- TV: NBC
- Streaming: NBC Sports
- Odds: The Eagles opened as 3.5-point favorites and the line has widened throughout the week
Eagles vs. Cowboys news:
- Elliott has given up on his appeal with the NFL and is set to serve his full six-game suspension. He won’t be in action against the Eagles, a huge boost to Dallas’ NFC East rivals.
- On the injury front, the Cowboys will be without safety Jeff Heath, meaning Xavier Woods, a rookie sixth-round pick, will start in his place. Heath is still in the league’s concussion protocol.
- In addition to Heath, starting linebacker Sean Lee and kicker Dan Bailey have been ruled out for Sunday’s game as well. The Cowboys also have Tyron Smith ailing, so things are pretty tenuous on the injury front.
- The Cowboys are in disarray without Elliott and with all the injuries. The folks at Blogging The Boys think this means Sunday’s game is a fork in the road for head coach Jason Garrett.
Who will Jason Garrett be Sunday night when the triple zeroes strike the game clock? The same old day-by-day apologist that is afforded a pardon of a particular variety, or the Dallas Cowboys head coach that defeated the odds and found a way to win the game all by himself?
We’re about to find out.
- If the Cowboys want to find some measure of success against the Eagles, there is a worrying trend they absolutely need to reverse: Their third-quarter struggles.
- The Eagles are healthy going into Sunday’s game, with only wide receiver Alshon Jeffery listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Both Ronald Darby and Zach Ertz have been full participants in practice and will play on Sunday.
Eagles vs. Cowboys prediction:
Of the eight SB Nation experts picking in Week 11, seven of them think the Eagles will win Sunday night’s game. That leaves just one picking the Cowboys, while the OddsShark computer is also picking Philadelphia.
