Andy Reid got blasted by his own running back and barely hit the turf

It’s gonna take a lot more than that to keep the Chiefs’ coach down.

The Chiefs didn’t have much left in the tank when they got the ball back trailing by 11 points with zero timeouts and under two minutes to play. The most notable development from Kansas City’s failed final effort may be that Andy Reid has the constitution of a Weeble.

Reid wobbled -- and briefly hit the turf — but even getting blasted by running back Charcandrick West couldn’t keep him on the ground Sunday.

Reid was preoccupied and missed West and Byron Jones tumbling toward him. The ensuing action dropped him to the ground, but he was back up in time to call the team’s next play. The 59-year-old showed no ill effects from the contact, even jogging out to midfield to shake Cowboys’ coach Jason Garrett’s hand seconds later.
