Bears vs. Lions 2017 live stream: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch online
Detroit puts its playoff hopes on the line in an NFC North showdown.

The 4-9 Bears haven’t won many games this fall, but they’ve shown the capacity to shock favored teams. They’re responsible for one of the Steelers’ two losses this fall and have also found a way to throw a detour in the prospective playoff paths of the Ravens and Panthers. A win in a featured Saturday showdown would do the same for the Lions.
The Lions (7-6) are one game from a playoff spot but facing an uphill battle in the competitive NFC. Ten teams in the division have seven wins or more, making the final three weeks of the season a death race to the finish. If the Lions can’t dispatch the Bears at home Saturday, things will only get worse from there.

Bears at Lions news:
- Matt Stafford’s bruised hand didn’t stop him from throwing all over the Buccaneers last week.
After the game, Lions head coach Jim Caldwell told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that the X-Rays came back negative and that Stafford suffered a bruise on his throwing hand.
Stafford was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He did, however, throw passes in practice with his two fingers taped on Thursday. But that portion of practice wasn’t open for the media.
- It’s a good thing Chicago picked up its franchise QB in the 2017 draft, because they might not have a shot at a top prospect next May.
7. Chicago Bears: Arden Key, OLB, LSU
The debate here would be between Key and North Carolina State pass rusher Bradley Chubb. Key is more natural at working in space, which makes him better suited for Chicago’s defense. The predraft interview process will be critical for Key’s draft stock.
There’s no better way to describe what Hester brought to the game, than controlled chaos. That unique talent is what made Hester so rare. When he burst onto the scene in 2006 for the Chicago Bears, no one in their right mind could have foreseen a career that would span 11 years across four organizations - eight seasons of which, with Chicago.
- The Lions need all the help they can get to make the playoffs — so why are they benching Ameer Abdullah?
Ameer Abdullah was inactive for the second straight week on Sunday, and the reasoning isn’t all that clear. The Detroit Lions are in the middle of a desperate playoff run, and it would seem like the team would want one of their bigger threats out there on the field. Granted, Abdullah’s play had not been up to par over the past few weeks, but from a pure talent standpoint, you’d be hard pressed to find a better back on the roster.
Then Ian Rapoport dropped a bombshell, saying that Abdullah was healthy enough to play, but the Lions were merely benching him.
How many times will Mitchell Trubisky throw the ball Saturday?
Chicago has used a run-heavy offense to bring its rookie quarterback along slowly. With Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen buoying the team’s scoring from the ground, Trubisky has thrown 16 passes or fewer three times this season. However, that strategy has been shifting — and last week’s win over the Bengals suggests it’s time to take the restrictor plate off the team’s newest offensive weapon. Trubisky threw for 271 yards and a touchdown on 32 attempts on Sunday, potentially clearing the way for a showcase performance in Michigan.
