The Patriots are looking for revenge after the DeflateGate debacle cost Tom Brady the first four games of this season. Despite his absence, New England still finished 14-2 and is in the Super Bowl for the seventh time in the Brady/Bill Belichick era. If Brady wins this game, he will be the first quarterback to earn five Super Bowl rings, cementing him as unquestionably the greatest QB of all time.
Meanwhile, the Falcons rode the league’s hottest defense to the big game, easily dispatching the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers in the NFC playoffs. Matt Ryan delivered an MVP-caliber season, leading an explosive and diverse offensive attack with playmakers at every position. Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman, Tevin Coleman, Mohamed Sanu, and Taylor Gabriel are all dangerous threats with the ball in their hands, but Belichick has dialed up brilliant game plans to shut down opposing offenses before.
We’ll see how Dan Quinn does in his first Super Bowl appearance as head coach — he was the Seahawks’ defensive coordinator in their Super Bowl trips in 2014 and 2015.
The game is a fascinating matchup of top-shelf talent and coaching minds, but there’s much more to the Super Bowl than what happens on the field. Here’s a complete rundown of viewing information and halftime festivities, in addition to betting info.

Halftime show info
Lady Gaga is set to perform the halftime show, making her second straight Super Bowl appearance after singing the national anthem last year. In a change of pace from recent years, there reportedly won’t be multiple guest stars during the show, although Tony Bennett is set to make an appearance via satellite. Gaga is a great performer who should deliver on the world’s biggest stage, whether she sings from the roof or not.
Luke Bryan is singing the national anthem this year, while members of the cast of Hamilton will perform “America the Beautiful.” Former President George H.W. Bush, along with his wife Barbara, will be present for the opening coin toss.
Odds
The Patriots opened as three-point favorites and the line hasn’t budged since, according to OddsShark. The over/under is set at 59.5.
