Receiver Kenny Britt signed a four-year deal worth $32.5 million with the Browns on Thursday, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The veteran spent his last three years playing for the Rams and emerged as their top receiver last year, after joining them from Tennessee in 2014.

Britt had a career year in 2016. He had 68 receptions for 1,002 yards, both career highs. The veteran also scored five touchdowns, and was a small bright spot on a Rams offense that struggled last year. He also proved he could finally stay healthy with the Rams, missing only one game over three seasons.
The Titans selected the receiver in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft, but had a rough time on his first team. He never fully broke into the starting lineup, and injuries limited his playing time. He missed majority of the 2011 season with a torn MCL, and off-field issues saw him receive a suspension from the NFL at the beginning of 2012.
Britt was not re-signed by the Titans when he became a free agent in 2014, and shortly after joined the Rams. He was not expected to even make the 53-man roster initially, but impressed in training camp and eventually won the starting job. He played his first full 16-game season since his rookie season that year, and became a critical part of their offense.
Los Angeles is rebuilding much of their roster from scratch under new head coach Sean McVay, and that means veterans like Britt usually are the first to go. Now Britt will move on to the Browns and hope to build off a breakout year with his new team in 2017.
Britt adds a similar receiver to that of Josh Gordon to the Browns’ roster. A bigger, stronger receiver with great hands and a large catch radius. If receiver Terrelle Pryor also returns, the Browns will have one of the NFL’s stronger receiving duos.
