Every future star NFL quarterback starts somewhere small, working his way up the ranks of high school recruitment boards. Tom Brady was one of them, proving himself as merely “one of the top 6” best quarterbacks in the state of California in 1994 at Serra High School in San Mateo, Calif. Here is an interview that his school says may be his first media appearance, 23 years ago.

Brady knew he needed to improve his speed back then too!
The clip is perfect with a super corny intro before we see Brady’s 17-year-old or so face. He looks eerily looking similar to how he does now with his hair combed over. He’s introduced as the MVP of a California football camp (haha wonder if he still has that trophy) and we see him make a few throws.
Then comes the interview part, which is peak Brady. Dressed in a striped button-down shirt with a white undershirt sticking out, Brady stares at Dan Fouts, who states that he’s never seen him play. Fouts asks to pretend he’s a college coach and tell him about himself. Brady’s answer is perfect.
Brady: My strengths ... Everyone tells me I have a pretty strong arm, which is good. I’m pretty accurate with it. I think I need to work on my speed a little bit, but hopefully that will come in time. Pretty good work ethic, so I think I can get the job done.
This is an incredible and still accurate description, Tom. The speed never came, but the job got done ... a few times now.
