Tyrod Taylor nearly turned a third-and-goal opportunity into points for the Jets. Fortunately for the Bills, center Eric Wood was there to prevent a pick-six by throwing safety Marcus Maye into the path of a streaking Juston Burris.
Bills center Eric Wood prevented a pick-6 by throwing one Jet into another
The Jets are out here tackling themselves — with some help, of course.

Taylor had Buffalo on the brink of its first points of the season, but Burris snatched his third-down pass out of the air and turned upfield with room to run. As the Bills and his blockers crowded together near the 30-yard-line, Wood blasted Maye off his feet — and into his teammate.
What this means for the Bills: It’s not a great start for Taylor, who needs a big year in 2017 to retain his hold on the team’s starting role. Through one quarter, he’s got a 35.4 quarterback rating. If he threw his eight passes directly into the turf instead, he’d be sitting at 39.0.
Great hustle from Wood, though.
What this means for the Jets: New York turned its momentum-shifting interception into a three-play, six-yard drive before punting. Go Jets!
