Raiders vs. Washington live stream: How to watch ‘Sunday Night Football’ online

Washington held on to beat the Rams on the road in Week 2 and improve its record to 1-1. Unless they get more from quarterback Kirk Cousins, their time as a .500 or better team may be limited.

Cousins will face one of the stiffest tests of the young 2017 season when he welcomes the Oakland Raiders to Landover, Maryland for a Sunday Night Football showdown. broadcast live at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC (live stream). The sixth-year passer has failed to follow up on his breakout 2016 season, throwing for just 419 yards and two touchdowns.

His counterpart Sunday, Derek Carr, hasn’t had the same trouble building on his big 2016. Carr has led Oakland to a 2-0 record tanks to a 75 percent completion rate and a sterling 5:0 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Sunday, he saw it through with his first game in his hometown. Lynch finished the game with 12 rushes for 45 yards and a touchdown.

But he also had all of the other Lynch moments that we’ve grown to love over the years — whether it was a mean run, or a celebration.

While running back Lynch getting his first Raiders touchdown, quarterback Carr’s 82 percent completion rate, and wide receiver Michael Crabtree’s three touchdowns are getting the headlines, there were three new additions who had great games themselves.

While playing the Jets, the Raiders were on the goal line. Over the CBS broadcast, Carr can be heard calling an audible called “Seattle” — a pass play. It’s a normal check that many teams use, but considering the situation, it’s pretty funny.

It’s over, at least this year, for Washington and safety Su’a Cravens. He has officially been placed on the reserve/left squad list which ends any hopes of him returning to the field this year. It was reported yesterday that Cravens was reporting to the team on Tuesday.

The NFC East is one of the league’s toughest divisions, but it’s currently a bit of a mess. Three teams look like true contenders — anyone but the offensively-challenged Giants — but no club has stood out above the rest. The Eagles were ascending after beating Washington in Week 1, but a follow-up loss to the Chiefs dropped them back to Earth. The Cowboys were the early favorites, but were absolutely smoked by the Broncos in Week 2.

A big win Sunday night over one of the AFC’s top teams would boost Washington’s resume and lend credence to the idea Cousins can be an NFC East champion.
