The Atlanta Falcons will never be safe from someone bringing up their 28-3 blown lead against the New England Patriots in last season’s Super Bowl. The most recent person to do it? Well, none other than Alabama head coach Nick Saban. The Tide head coach was speaking on his weekly radio show, and someone asked him what it was like to coach against Pats quarterback Tom Brady.
Even Nick Saban is still talking about the Falcons’ 28-3 blown lead against the Patriots
Never forget.

Saban faced Brady four times during his NFL coaching career, holding a 2-2 record against last season’s Super Bowl MVP.
“The reference to the Falcons was about how both of Brady’s last two Super Bowls came as a result of other teams not putting the Patriots away (Seattle, Atlanta),” Burnett told SB Nation. “It wasn’t necessarily a shot, but he did mention it.”
The Pats didn’t waste a second to troll the Falcons of the lead they had before the unforgettable collapse, by conveniently putting the 28-3 score on its scoreboard ahead of Thursday night’s regular-season opener between New England and the Kansas City Chiefs.
We’ll see how many more 28-3 references we get this season.
