Both the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings are searching for their first ever Super Bowl win, but one of them will be out of the running after Sunday’s NFC Championship. The game is set to begin at 6:40 p.m. ET on FOX (live streams at FOX Sports Go, Yahoo! Sports, and FuboTV).
Vikings vs. Eagles live stream: How to watch NFC Championship 2018 online
The NFC Championship is almost here, and this is how you can follow the action online.
The Eagles are the top seed in the NFC, but much of their record that contributed to that seeding was forged with Carson Wentz starting at quarterback. But Wentz was lost for the postseason, leaving Nick Foles as the Philadelphia starter. Foles isn’t nearly on Wentz’s level, meaning the Eagles were underdogs in the Divisional Round and are once again in the Conference Championships Round.
Minnesota is certainly one of the more surprising teams in this year’s playoff field. It’s not that they weren’t expected to be good, but with injuries and question marks at the quarterback position, the defense was not expected to carry them this deep.
Fortunately for them, it hasn’t had to. The defense has been great overall, but quarterback Case Keenum has been shockingly good. He’s not lighting up the best defenses out there, but he’s playing relatively clean football and not making big mistakes. That’s why many believe the Vikings will beat the Eagles, a team they match up with favorably at most positions.
The Vikings are coming off a 29-24 win over the New Orleans Saints, though it nearly didn’t happen. The Vikings built up a big lead, and then let it slip away. In the final two minutes, they took the lead back, but left too much time on the clock. The Saints then took the lead back and with under a minute to go, the Vikings scored a miraculous touchdown to secure the win.
Philadelphia’s Foles completed 23 of 30 passes for 246 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the win over the Atlanta Falcons in the Divisional Round. They also rushed for just 96 yards as a team. It was a close game, a 15-10 win for Philadelphia.

Vikings vs. Eagles news:
- The Eagles’ Super Bowl dreams are still alive thanks to Fletcher Cox, Stephen White writes.
- No surprise, but Case Keenum and Nick Foles are much better quarterbacks without Jeff Fisher around.
- The final seconds of the Vikings’ Divisional Round win will go down in franchise and NFL history, and broke a playoff curse along the way.
- Despite being the top seed in the conference, the Eagles have embraced the underdog label. Like... really embraced. So much so that the Eagles will allow fans to wear dog masks to the game. You know, like underdogs. It’s clever, right?
- Keenum’s season doesn’t appear to be a fluke, and Eagles fans know it. Over at Bleeding Green Nation, they talked about how good Keenum has been.
He’s good. Whatever he’s done in the past, as mediocre as he had been, none of it matters now. This isn’t the same quarterback that struggled under Jeff Fisher’s tutelage in St. Louis or with the Houston Texans before that. And who knows if he will ever be this good again.
But even though the Eagles have home field advantage and a defense that should pressure Keenum all game long, don’t sell him short. He’s not a dink-and-dunk, “manage the game” quarterback. He’ll be asked to make some plays for Minnesota, and has shown he can do that.
- Jay Ajayi did little to help the Eagles past the Falcons. Will we see him bounce back against the Vikings?
Vikings vs. Eagles predictions:
