Brock Osweiler has played relatively well since filling in for Ryan Tannehill. But Osweiler did not play well during the Thursday Night Football game against his former team, the Houston Texans. The Miami Dolphins did not play well, either.
Brock Osweiler’s best play with the Dolphins continues to be deflected pass

That’s a story for another time. We’re here to talk about Osweiler, and the fact that the Dolphins have finally found the secret to his success.
Just deflect the football and have a bunch of random garbage happen and hope it works out. No, seriously. This just looks like a Madden glitch.
What in the world is that?!
Osweiler completes a pass to Jakeem Grant, who takes a big hit. That forces the ball to pop out, which appears to hit the helmet of a defender, and then travels another 12 yards or so in the air before it came to rest in the hands of DeVante Parker.
That 46-yard pass was Osweiler’s longest play of the night. Even wilder, it’s not the first time it’s happened.
In Week 6 against the Bears, a similarly deflected pass found its way into Kenny Stills’ hands after it ricocheted off Danny Amendola:
The Dolphins ended up beating the Bears, though Osweiler’s signature play doesn’t have magic powers: They got crushed by the Texans, 42-23.
But as long as Tannehill is out, at least Miami knows it has one winning play at its disposal.
